Here it is: a simple exercise proving once again that house music is not only fun to mix but also incredibly easy!
I was digging around at Gramaphone Records in Chicago when I pulled a package from the back of the bottom shelf. It was 10 LPs wrapped in brown paper and packaging tape with a rough drawing of a house and "House Mystery Bag" in black marker written on it. Curious? I was curious enough to buy the bag, and without listening to any of the records beforehand, mixed them all together in semi-random order. I'm pretty happy with the resulting mix - the records in the bag spanned multiple genres including trance, big beat, latin beat, glitch, and garage. What you hear is the first and only live take, shortened for time constraints. Aren't you curious how it turned out?
